It's my entry to Thalia's moly)
and...Rene, I still do not have Albina's book.It is strange.Problems with post office?

Status and update

I updated the status list today, july 11th.

Ellen, I can't find any contribution from you since march 23rd ; I probably overlooked something?

How do you do the colorific hoodoo voodoo that you do?

May I ask how you all are doing your colors?

I've tried water color / art markers - they bled too much; tried color pencils - too muted versus the yellow card stock. Tried water colors with varied success, though seems I have to really layer up goopy thick paint to get enough opacity to overcome the yellow.

Most of you all seem to easily surmount the yellow and get some sharp details in your colors. What do you use? Is it guasch paint? acryllic?

And yes, sorry, this is a huge gaping hole in my fine arts background, I don't know nearly enough about illustrative color work or techniques. Any suggestions would be deeply appreciated!

Thanks!

PS - apologies if you saw this post on the other Moly groups I'm in, trying to get ample coverage from all the amazingly talented folks I've been fortunate enough to crew up with!

Albina's secret garden

Here is my contribution to the secret garden books of Albina. I must say it was a difficult one for me; drawing for romantic subjects is not really my thing. But of course that is the challeging thing about Moly_x: you are forced to react on totally different subjects than what you're used to!
The hidden world idea reminded me of the story of Jonas and the whale, I can't think of a more secret world...

i went for a walk...

and all i found was cables everywhere... i hope u guys like it! and tomorrow it's on it's way to rene.

Status and update

Out of curiosity I tried to figure out where the books are at present.

This is based on the messages in this blog, which was not easy to figure out. So if I got something wrong, please notify me.

The book travel along the horizontal line from one to the other.

I was glad to see that everyone is still involved.

You mentioned a miracle transforming the physical structure of the world. Here are some spicebush swallowtail caterpillers spelling out the word "miracle" as they crawl over a branch and some abstract leaves. The miracle of the butterfly is hanging below the branch, is actual size, and we grow and hatch these every year in our garden. They love parsley and dill.
